Prepare and publish a database for ARIS Online Guide

If you plan to use ARIS Online Guide to make documents available across the company which were specially created for your business processes in the SAP® system during customizing, please adjust the database contents.

Prerequisite

  • The SAP® system was configured by the system administrator.

  • You have the Publishing administrator function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Specify the transaction codes of the SAP function to be documented as a screen in the assigned function allocation diagram.

    If you do not want to start executables in SAP® Solution Manager, you can specify the relevant executable codes directly at the function. They are not included in the SAP® synchronization. Such executables cannot be started in ARIS.

  2. Specify documents with help texts as information carriers. If you are working with SAP® Solution Manager, you can transfer documents into the database automatically.

    You can also specify documents in the system attributes Link 1 to Link 4 of functions or screens. In this case, you must enable the Also output linked documents check box when generating the ARIS Online Guide for these documents to be included.

  3. Start ARIS and publish the related database as Published content Published content.
