Transfer branches to ARIS databases

To map branch structures clearly in ARIS, transfer the data to ARIS databases from SAP® Solution Manager 7.2.

  1. In ARIS Architect, click ARIS > Explorer Explorer.

  2. In the Explorer tree, log into the databaese using a sufficient filter, and click the group to which you wish to transfer the branch as a subgroup.

  3. Activate the SAP ® Solutions tab bar.

  4. Click Import Download > Transfer branch. The wizard opens.

  5. Log on to the SAP® system if necessary.

  6. Specify the relevant settings and click Finish.

The group name and the name of the start model match the branch name. All required attributes are specified automatically. If an attribute assignment was specified in the branch configuration, these attributes are also transferred. The transfer optionally includes:

  • all documents that are specified in the SAP® Solution Manager branch. You can open these documents from ARIS.

  • all end user roles.

  • the Executable Library, including the executables used in this branch.

The project's system landscape is mapped in an additional subgroup.

Master data and organizational units are created or updated in the corresponding function allocation diagrams (FAD).

In ARIS, you assign end user roles to company-specific roles. The assignment is done in models of the SAP organizational elements mapping type.

You can open your Solution Manager blueprint and the configuration from ARIS.

If you save process models that are not synchronized, the SAP model type attribute must not be specified.
