Add document (conventional modeling)

  1. Navigate to the related function allocation diagram (FAD) that is assigned to an SAP function.

  2. Open the model for editing either from the published content or from the repository.

  3. On the Model tab, click Enable SAP modeling support Enable SAP ® modeling support.

  4. Click the SAP function to which you want to connect the document. The Insert smart object Insert icons are displayed.

  5. Insert an Information carrier object. Make sure to use the correct symbol, such as Project document, so that the documents are entered on the correct tabs after their transfer to SAP® Solution Manager.

  6. Specify the name of the Information carrier object.

  7. Select the related document type. All document types that were defined in the related branch configuration are listed.

  8. Choose whether to open a document from a URL, a local path, or a connected document storage system. To select a document, navigate to the document file or browse the document management system (DMS). To open a document from a web location, specify the URL of the document. Note: Once a document has been updated in ARIS document storage, you no longer need to manually update the value of the Link1 attribute. The link always points to the most current version of the document.

  9. Click OK.

The document is created.

This document will be included when you start the SAP® synchronization in ARIS Architect and transfer documents. Documents that were created in ARIS and transferred to SAP Solution Manager® 7.2 can be deleted using the SAP® synchronization.
