Dashboards
Dashboards are interactive applications that collect, combine, and visualize data from different data sources, for example, ARIS table or CSV files. Dashboards are composed of individual widgets (for example, line chart or grid).
Dashboards make it easy to visualize and analyze information. You can combine data from any original source and visualize them using graphic elements, or filter the displayed results interactively and thus analyze them intuitively. Administrators can manage dashboards.
Default dashboards
ARIS offers several predefined default dashboards. The predefined dashboards contain charts or tables that show the results of various visual analyses. The default dashboards are only available if your ARIS administrator made them available.
Demo dashboards
If default dashboards are provided, you can use demo dashboards connected to the Sample DB demo database. Demo dashboards use static data to give you an overview about the functional range of charts used in the Sample DB demo database. Demo dashboards are for demonstration purposes only. This fictive data is stored in initially imported default XML documents. When reports update XML documents, demo dashboards are no longer provided properly because the fictive data used to generate the demo dashboards is overwritten.
You can use the demo dashboards to learn about usage and functionality of related charts.
System dashboards
You can show system dashboards that give you information about the ARIS system and its contents. The content and functionality of the dashboards depends in part on whether and which database has been published and selected.
Custom dashboards
ARIS enables you to create your own dashboards. The dashboard editor as a graphical user interface gives you an easy graphic way to create, manage, and view your dashboards. The dashboard editor provides the edit mode and the view mode. In the edit mode you can create and manage your dashboards. The view mode enables you to view and use your dashboards interactively.
