Edit attributes of multiple items (search result)

You can enter identical attribute values for multiple items of a search result or delete the values. Bulk editing is supported for groups, models, and objects.

Prerequisite

You have the Bulk edit attributes database-related function privilege.

Note

Existing attribute values are overwritten or deleted by this operation. This operation cannot be undone.

Procedure. Procedure
  1. Perform a search. All items whose name contains the search term at the beginning are listed. A maximum of 1,000 search results can be displayed. If the search returns more than 1,000 search results, specify your search query more precisely using Search options Search options.

  2. Select the relevant elements or all elements of the search result.

  3. Click Edit attributes (bulk editing) Edit attributes. The Edit multiple attributes panel is displayed.

  4. Click New/Add Add attributes. The Add attributes bar opens and lists the attributes that are available for all selected elements.

  5. Click the attribute whose value you want to edit or delete. By default, Specify value is enabled.

  6. Enter or select the value.

  7. Add more attributes and specify the attribute values or delete them if required.

  8. To delete attribute values, click the down arrow next to the corresponding attribute and then Delete value.

  9. To remove an attribute from the selected attributes list, click Delete Remove.

  10. Click Apply.

Your changes are saved. Use the log file to check your changes in detail.
