Enable Companion for databases

You must enable Companion for the relevant databases to use AI-assisted search and the Companion chatbot, or to reuse existing database objects in AI-based model generation.

Note

Activating AI features for a database can take several minutes, as the database is indexed during this process. Indices are relevant for AI-based model generation when existing database objects are to be reused.

Prerequisites

  • You have the ARIS Enterprise Admin license privilege.

  • You have the Database administrator and the Publishing administrator function privilege.

Procedure. Procedure

  1. Click Application launcher Application launcher > Administration Administration. Configuration Configuration is displayed.

  2. Click Publication settings. The databases are listed.

  3. In the row of the relevant database, click Edit Edit.

  4. Enable Companion.

  5. Click Apply. The activation process will take some time.

The AI functions were activated for the database and the database was indexed.
